Why I built Annova

I was looking for a tool to track my finances in French and euros, with all the usual tracking charts and some statistics. I couldn't find anything that really matched what I wanted. So I tried to build it myself.

What it really gave me is clarity over the long run. In my case, I have around ten years of data, which let me look back over many years.

It's a side project, built in my spare time. I move it forward bit by bit, mostly for the features I need myself. It stays local and private: your data never leaves your machine.

In time, I'd like it to become a real financial companion for a whole life: not just tracking and understanding, but also going deeper into your data, projecting, simulating and helping make decisions over the long run.
